	Janie Midgette Retires Mrs. Janie Midgette retired from Roanoke Rapids Schools after working for more than 31 years. She was given a lovely engraved clock and read a proclamation of appreciation. Mrs. Midgette was a dedicated worker and performed her duties with utmost care and professionalism. Her pleasant demeanor will be missed by all. Roanoke Rapids School Board members expressed their appreciation for all her hard work and wished her the best in her retirement years. Jonathan Hayes Receives Congratulations		Beth Porch Receive Certificate
	Beth Porch, Jonathan Hayes, Josh Gardner, Scott Farnham, and band director Laura Avery performed Buglar’s Holiday by Leroy Anderson. These students are members of the concert and symphonic band at RRHS. Beth Porch, Jonathan Hayes, Philip Wingfield, Kelly Kinnin, and Meg Williams were presented Certificates of Appreciation for being selected to perform in the UNC-G Honors Band. Mr. Doughtie recognized the retirement of Mrs. Janie Midgette by presenting her a resolution and retirement clock for thirty one and one half years of service to RRGSD.
